Arraignment continues for a CDA man, charged with shooting his wife | North Idaho News

A 74-year-old Coeur d'Alene man's arraignment has been postponed until next week.
The man, whom we aren't identifying, is charged with aggravated battery, use of a deadly weapon, and possession of a controlled substance. The charges stem from an Oct. 11 incident when police responded to a Fernan Hill residence for a report of a domestic dispute involving a gun.
Once police arrived on scene, they discovered a 65-year-old woman with a gunshot wound in her abdomen. Court documents indicate that her husband shot her.
The female was transported to Kootenai Health where she received surgery.
The man is being held on a $1 million bail and is scheduled for his arraignment on Dec. 24.
